Actuarial Study to Demonstrate
the Financial Implications

Examining the financial position of the pension system in the emirate is one of the fundamentals of the Fund's work, by conducting actuarial studies, which rely on the use of mathematical and statistical methods and probability theories, with the aim of assessing risks in the fields of insurance and finance.

The Fund prepares these studies based on the assumptions that are developed by depending on the historical experiences at the Fund.

Moreover, the Fund uses the hypothesis issued by the Statistics Center Abu Dhabi, such as the average life span; fertility rate; in addition to the economic assumptions issued by the Department of Economic Development. The Fund conducted the periodic actuarial study last year. The study results showed the Fund's expectation to increase the number of citizens registered in the pension system of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, to 105 thousand and 570 citizens, by 2025 compared to their number of 91,493 citizens by the end of the previous year.
