Future Foresight

The Fund is keen to use the best international practices in the field of developing the pension system and services, and one of the most important of these practices is future foresight with regard to demographic and financial changes and their repercussions on the Pension System, in order to develop proactive solutions and maintain its financial sustainability. The Fund has been conducting actuarial studies to study its financial position and future prospects since 2002. Every 3 years, an examination of the financial position of the Fund is conducted, and future forecasts are developed for the Pension System in the Emirate, in order to develop improvement plans that contribute to enhancing the sustainability of the system, and enable the Fund to fulfill its obligations towards successive generations, which contributes to achieving the decent standard of living for the citizens of Abu Dhabi. In future foresight the Fund relies on the use of an electronic tool customized for this purpose, through which future financial scenarios are simulated, to obtain the desired results very quickly, accelerating the decision-making process in the Fund, and helping to build strategies according to accurate results.
